Bellabox: OCTOBER 2012!

This month is Bellabox's birthday month and they sure made sure the box was special! Compared to LHI's birthday month box, this one is waaaay better. I was so disappointed in LHI's September box as well that i ended up unsubscribing, so no box from this this month, or any other month for that matter lol.
Anyways, back onto Bellabox, this month the theme is "Pretty in Pink" and works alongside the National Breast Cancer Foundation. For each Bellabox sold, they will donate $1 to the foundation. That's amazing i think, breast cancer is something that is close to my heart so i'm very grateful for this. So what's in the box?

As you can see there are 4 full sized products. I'm also not sure if im missing a product because on my card it says there should be an Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Instant Action Lift Treatment however... there was none in my box? :(

I'm SO happy to have received this, I blow dry my hair every single day and never use heat protectant so this is definitely down my alley and even better that it's full sized.

I love getting lip balms and this is no exception.  I'm still using the carmex from a previous bellabox so it never hurts to have another one. I also love how it comes in the PINK to coincide with Breast Cancer research, love!

E.L.F Cosmetics Liquid Eyeliner

What you get: Each product varies, i received the liquid eyeliner.
The colour i received was "stardust" which is a glittery lilac colour. Not sure if i like it but happy to have received it anyway.

So that's all i received in my box this month, i also just received a response from Bellabox (talk about amazing customer service) advising that i should have received everything on my card so unfortunately my poor Estee Lauder product was left out but i should receive it later this month.

Bellabox: SEPTEMBER 2012

Today I received the Bellabox for the month of September. I believe i may be part of the first batch that was sent out which is pretty cool. Normally I dont receive mine til later in the month so i was surprised at how quick it came this month. But hey, i'm not complaining! Let's see what came in this month's box..

Benefit "It's Potent!" Eye Cream

This cream works to fade dark circles and helps to smooth fine lines for brighter and younger looking eyes. I'm really excited to try this! i love Benefit products and i've been on the hunt for a good eye cream so this is something i will definitely be trying out as early as tonight. How cute is the packaging also?

Bioderma Sebium Akn Purifying Corrective Care

What you get: 5ml

This smoothing and purifying cream moisturises the skin whilst aiding in the elimination of blemishes and blackheads. The gently exfoliating agents help to keep pores clear by reducing the sebum in the skin.
This product sounds pretty amazing if it does work but I doubt i'll be too quick at using it. My current skincare seems to be working fine so i dont really want to add a new product for fear that my skin will start having crazy reactions. I'm not ready for that lol.

Bioderma Sebium Foaming Gel

A daily foaming gel that thoroughly purifies skin with a soap-free, alcohol-free formula and is kind to even the most sensitive of skins.
Again, sounds like it would be a good product if it does what it claims but i'm not too fussed about wanting to change my skincare anytime soon..

To be applied to strands of hair after washing, prior to styling, to create body in fine hair, curl retention in wavy hair and to provide thermal protection, plus humidity resistance.
I'm really lazy when it comes to hair care but since i've been subscribed to beauty boxes, i've been having such an influx of different hair care products, I really don't know where to start lol. This is just going to be added to the slow growing collection. I'll probably end up using it one day.

Savoir Faire Concealer Kit

What you get: 4 different concealer shades and 2 samples of finishing powder.

This is a great travel sized concealer kit with enough different shades to conceal any imperfections, redness or under eye circles for on the go. I like how there's two finishing powders too for touch ups. I'm really looking forward to trying this out, i hope the concealer is impressive.

You, Me & Everybody Sumptuous Skin Mousse
RRP: 75ml $13.99

This light, foaming formula of this gentle moisturiser is rapidly absorbed by the skin to maintain its natural moisture balance.
This is basically a body moisturiser in a mousse form which i find really interesting. As you can see, it's packaged with a nozzle which reminds me of a can of whipped cream lol. I'm intrigued to try this out just because it's kind of strange but i'm not hoping for anything spectacular.

There was also a card inside from the ICONIC with a coupon code for $15 off their website. However a minimum of $69 needs to be spent first before this can be redeemed.

So that's all for the month of September! What did you guys think? For me, i'm pretty happy with it, i can see myself using most of these products and i'm happy with the variety that was included also. Bellabox have been consistent with their products and shipping for the past few months so i have no complaints :) x

Bellabox AUGUST 2012

Today I finally received the August edition of the Bellabox. This month's theme is GO GREEN where they aim to take a more natural approach to beauty. This is what I received in my box:

Wotnot Facial Wipes

What you get: FULL SIZE

These wipes are made with 100% natural fibres and enriched with certified organic aloe vera, sweet almond oil and rosehip oil and can be used to remove make up and refresh skin. Also, they're 100% biodegradable! amazing! I actually just used these wipes 5 minutes before writing this post. I needed to take my make up off so i thought now is better than ever to test them out. Now, i don't ever use wipes mainly because I dont own any and I just generally use my make up remover on a cotton pad and take my make up off that way. But wow, after using these wipes I am completely in awe. It felt so soft and moisurising on my skin and did well with removing my make up. I was wearing my Revlon Colourstay Whipped Foundation and it just came right off. This is the only product that I've tried so far from Bellabox that makes me actually want to purchase another pack once I've finished. I'm really loving these wipes.

USPA Wheatgrass Solar Energy Leave in Serum

This is a leave in serum that utilises the unique properties of wheatgrass, silicone, glycerine and essential oils to preserve and protect colour treated hair.
I honestly don't care too much for this, I was actually really hoping for the foot pumice that I saw other people had received because my feet are in desperate need of care. But oh well, I may try this one day but I am really lazy when it comes to hair maintenance.

LUK Beautifood Lip Nourish

This is a lip nourish that is made from a 100% natural, edible and food active recipe. The flavour i got was Tangerine and Vanilla.  Upon looking at it, the colour is horrible and definitely not something i would ever pick up. However when swatched, it applies very sheer and the brown hardly shows up. I haven't applied it onto my lips yet so I can't comment on whether it is moisturising but there is a scent to it that does smell like it's description of tangerine and vanilla.

LUSH Ro's Argan Body Conditioner

This is described as a conditioner that is to be used just like a conditioner but instead for your body. The smell is incredibly strong as usual with LUSH products in my opinion and smells strongly of a floral scent with a bit of lemon. I tried this product on my arm and it did feel incredibly soft and moisturising however I am very sensitive to smell and after a while I had a headache because of the fragrance so i had to wipe it off. That is not to say the product isn't good though, the smell issue is just my personal problem but I've heard a lot of people are really enjoying this product!

These are described as perfect for itchy skin conditions and for use after skin irritation treatments. I suffer from neither of these so it probably won't be too useful so maybe i'll end up giving it away. I dont usually like to change my skincare especially if what i'm doing is already working for me, I dont like risking a breakout lol

Phytocare Daily C

This is Vitamin C powder, individually packaged containing a mix of essential nutrients that are free of sugar and with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives. It aims to make you feel good on the inside and out. It'll probably come in handy with my late night uni cramming and full time work as well as i'm feeling a little run down these days. I'll keep these on hand for an all-nighter session.

Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion

Aveeno moisurisers contain natural colloidal oatmeal to moisturise and protect skin, providing 24 hours relief from nasty dryness, scaling and chapping. It is non greasy, absorbs quickly, non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) and also contains no added fragrance.
Basically, just another moisturiser but with it's cute travel size, i'll probably throw this into my handbag where it'll be most useful while im out.

So that's all that I received in this months Bellabox. I did read around on what other people received and i have to say I was really really hoping to receive the Eyes of Horus liquid liner. I wanted that more than any of the products as i use liquid liner in a pen form on a daily basis but much to my dismay I didnt receive it.. I always seem to not receive the things i really want so maybe next month I should lay off the stalking of blogs to find out what's in the month's box lol. All in all, this month I'm a bit half half, i'm not completely disappointed but not overly impressed either. I do however, love the wipes so the box isn't a waste for me.

June 2012 Lust Have It bag!

Today my Lust Have It box (bag) came in the post and I was super excited to receive it. This month's theme is "Fun and Flirty" and although that might sound exciting.. well.. i'll let you guys be the judge.

This month's bag is a purple one and i love it! I'm probably being biased because purple is my favourite colour but even more so because i will actually use it as a makeup bag and take it traveling now. I wasn't too fond of the pink one as funnily enough that is my least favourite colour ever so i'm really happy with this month's bag. Not so much the products..

This is a cute travel size, definitely something I can just throw in my bag for touch ups for when my roots get oily. I already use a different branded dry shampoo but i'm curious to try this one out.

Bloom - Glitter Eyeliner in "Star Gazer"

This looks interesting. I don't own a glitter eyeliner and i'm not against them I just never had the need to go out and buy one but i'm happy to have received this. The swatch on my arm is just one swipe of it. I dont really feel anything towards it, it may just end up being a product I forget i own. The colour isnt that nice but maybe i can work with it.

More perfume samples.. I feel towards this like i feel towards face masks, I never end up using them as i find perfume gives me really bad headaches so i dont like spraying them on myself. I'll probably end up with a collection of these as well and end up giving them away. Guess it won't be too bad in that case. But i was a little disappointed that we got two perfume samples in this month's bag, they're easily enough to get at the department stores but oh well.

Overall, I'm thoroughly disappointed with this month's LHI bag. There's nothing that I actually like let alone love unless you count the actual bag itself which is funny cos i absolutely loved May's LHI but i guess we cant be pleased every month so i'll keep with them for a while longer.

Bellabox June 2012

Today I received my Bellabox for June 2012. I received the notification from Australia Post that it was delivered while i was at work so I was pretty anxious to get home and find out what I received this month! This month's box works around the theme of Winter Escape. So without further delay, let's take a look..

And in no particular order..

1. Facial Fresh Cloth Facial Treatment Mask

What you get: 1 mask

I don't really know what to say about this, I received a mask as well in the May box and personally I just don't use them. I've never used a facial mask before and I don't really intend to so i sort of wished I didnt get these but maybe they'll be useful to my mum or a friend. I'm not really sure.

 2. Pure Fiji Body Butter

What you get: 15ml

This looks really nice and smells divine. I rubbed a small amount onto my hands and it instantly felt soft and nice to touch. I'm really looking forward to using this and will probably keep it on my desk at work to apply throughout the day.

3. Nak Diamond Hair Polish - Frizz Fighter

I'm really excited to try out this product. It says it can be used as a heat protectant which is awesome for me as I dont actually use heat protectant on my hair and i use heat styling products everyday! I know, i know that is realllllly bad, but.. i've just been really lazy so i'm glad I have this in full size and can't wait to see how it turns out.

4. Benefit POREfessional Pro Balm

What you get: 7.5ml 

This is such a cute sample size. I already own the full size of this product and I love it. The aim of the product is to minimise your pores for a flawless base so you can apply foundation or whichever product over a smooth surface. It really works! I love this so much and find that it really shrinks the size of my pores and gives a smooth and matte finish making my foundation glide on smoothly. So happy with this.

5. Kiss Dress Nails

I don't really care too much for this. I'm not really a nail person and if i do my nails, i prefer to paint them myself. Also, not a fan of the design that I got so will probably be giving this away.

 
6. Fan Di Fendi Fragrance

I'm not really sure how much product you get in this satchet as it feels completely flat so I'm assuming that it's just enough to rub on your neck or wrist once. I'm not a perfume lover so again, i can see this going to waste or to someone that would have more use of it than myself.

7. Olea Olive Leaf Drops

Really? I kind of don't know what to say about this. I'll give you guys the description that comes with the box on this product: "Olea Olive Lead Drops combine fresh-picked Olive Leaf Extract with UMF 10+ Manuka honey for immune and cardiovascular support, as well as giving you a boost of antioxidant power. 100% natural and fast acting, pop one of these drops next time you feel the winter sniffles coming on!"
Honestly, i just don't feel that these should have been put in, but I guess that they went with the theme of Winter Escape, i just dont feel it was exactly beauty related even though i get where bellabox is coming from.

All in all, I'm actually more happy with this box than May's even though there a few products in this month's box i know i won't be using, I'm super excited to try the Nak Diamond Hair Polish and Fiji body butter and i love the Benefit Porefessional sample tube.
